Find Your Surrogate Match

Intended parents share their confidence in our screening process.

Step 3: Find the Best Intended Parents

It’s one of the biggest decisions you’ll make as a surrogate mother. Only you can know who the best intended parents are for you. But we can help.

We can help you find your perfect match.

Step 4: Draft a Surrogacy Contract

Before in vitro fertilization (IVF) can take place, a legal contract must be in place to protect the rights and interests of both parties.

Both you and the intended parents need separate legal representation for the surrogacy contract that defines how the process will go, including what your surrogate pay will be.

Step 5: Prepare for the Embryo Transfer and Give the Gift of Parenthood

Once the contract is signed, you’ll begin a regimen of fertility medications. These medications help to prepare your body for the embryo transfer.

IVF involves retrieving the intended mother’s eggs and intended father’s sperm and combining the two in a laboratory dish. That fertilized embryo is then transferred into your uterus once conditions are best.

Once a pregnancy is confirmed, you’ll begin receiving your monthly payments.

Once the baby is born, you’ll get to return to your life and put that surrogate pay to use. You get to continue life with the satisfaction of making someone’s dream come true. You’ll always be a part of that family’s story.

FAQs About Surrogate Compensation in Cleveland

Why Should Surrogates Get Paid?

As a surrogate, you deserve the best pay in recognition of the commitment you’re making. The surrogate pay you earn with us is the best on the market.

You deserve the best for helping make the dreams of intended parents come true.

How Much Do Surrogates Get Paid Monthly?

Your surrogate pay is determined by your base pay. Your base pay factors in your location, your income and your experience with surrogacy.

Once a pregnancy is confirmed, you will be paid in 10 equal monthly installments.

How Much Do Surrogates Make for Twins?

You can make $10,000 for twins as a surrogate with us. This payment is not compensation for the babies you are carrying, but rather the time and effort you are taking when you become a surrogate.

Surrogates who carry more than one baby usually get more compensation for the added demands that can be brought physically and emotionally. You’ll receive $5,000 per multiple with us.

Do Surrogates Have to Pay Taxes in Cleveland?

Yes, you have to pay taxes on your surrogate pay in Cleveland. Think of that pay as your income over the past 10 months for carrying the baby. That’s compensation for a service and therefore taxable income.

If you receive a 1099 form during tax season from the third-party escrow service that handled your payments, that’s a surefire sign that it’s taxable income.

Even if you don’t receive a 1099 form, we recommend speaking with a local tax accountant to make sure you have all the necessary tax documents.

Do Surrogates Get Paid if They Miscarry?

Yes, you will get paid if you miscarry. You will only be paid up until the miscarriage occurs, however. So if you are pregnant for four months, you will be paid for four months.

Your surrogacy contract with the intended parents usually defines what comes next. If you do decide to try again, you must have a pregnancy confirmed in order to start receiving payments again.

Do Surrogates Get Maternity Leave in Cleveland?

Yes, you get maternity leave in Ohio. You are entitled to 12 weeks of unpaid leave due to the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

Ohio FMLA laws allow for full and part-time employees who work 30 or more hours per week up to 6 weeks of leave for birth or adoption.
